Hadrian’s Wall Walk Fundraiser

Our first fundraiser event was Walking the 84 miles of Hadrian’s Wall which took place on the dates of 25th of April till the 2nd of May 2018.

It might not sound that long or quick to serious athletes, but some days we struggle to walk 20 meters as a result of the condition.

In the UK, 16,000 people each year are diagnosed with a brain tumour. Those with a GBM4, the most common Brain Tumour, have an even worse prognosis – an average life expectancy of 12-18 months with treatment.

Awareness of the devastation caused by brain tumours is low. Less than 10% of people in the UK know that brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer.
